Stefania Ferrario made her mark in the fashion industry by introducing a movement behind the hashtag #droptheplus. The meaning stood for the industry to recognise "plus size" models (models who are above a US dress size 4 by the modelling industry) as just "Models" and not needing to be grouped by size. She states: "I am a model FULL STOP". This sparked positive reactions on social media and within the fashion industry. Stefania was discovered as a muse by burlesque star Dita Von Teese for her surreal curves and cute, petite pixie face.
